Just posting before anyone has a chance to think of it...
I think Ben has a son with Annie (who has been noted as someone of "seismic importance" to LOST). The one theme the show never seems to tire of is the overabundance of bad fathers, and in Meet Kevin Johnson, Ben says to Michael "What wouldn't a man do for his son?", which could easily be a moment of foreshadowing.
[also...I promise to get a digital camera soon. I really want to start visually documenting my kitchen & sewing adventures, especially with our CSA produce beginning to arrive in June...]

Okay, I'll digicam by my birthday. That gives me about a month to get my act together.
Annie is that little girl Ben was friends with when he was a kid. She was the one who made him that creepy wooden doll. We don't know what happened to her...
i should take pics of my cooking, too. i'm sure it won't look very pretty, but oh well!
